Nikos Pittas, a Cyprus violinist, is an acclaimed artist for his "transformational virtuosity". A receiver of various awards, Nikos is devoted with a passion for classical music and has been a member of world-class orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfonica de Castilla y Leon in Spain, a member, and soloist with the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, and a member of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Norway. Prometheas Quartet Cyprus
PROMETHEAS STRING QUARTET consists of four young Cypriot artists of recognized prestige who are members of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, all of them with personal distinctions.
The "PROMETHEAS" string quartet has an intense activity in the field of classical music with great success in Pancyprian premieres. Some of the works it has presented are Mozart's quartet for quartet and piano, with distinguished pianists Elena Mouzala, Manolis Neophytou and Nikolas Melis, as well as early performances by Cypriot composers such as A. Argyrou, Alkis Balta and Solon Michaelides.
Future performances of the "PROMITHEAS" quartet include concerts in cities in Cyprus as well as abroad - Munich, Athens, Minsk and Spain.
